COMPLETE OUTSOURCE SOLUTIONS

In the semiconductor industry, as well as other industries, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are increasingly outsourcing the design and manufacturing of key elements of their products to a number of preferred suppliers. This shift to outsourcing is primarily taking place due to OEMs sharpened focus on their core competencies and better allocation of their resources to their primary manufacturing processes.

Celerity is a preferred module supplier to many leading OEMs. Our end-to-end offering includes a comprehensive set of services supporting each step of a product life cycle. By partnering with our customers as a seamless extension of their RD&E, manufacturing, and service organizations, we reduce cost, improve product life cycle management, and accelerate speed to market.

Design and Engineering

We offer complete system design services - from specifications to engineering and final design. Throughout the process we align ourselves with our customers' engineering procedures, establishing virtual design collaboration with their CAD files and BOMs. Leveraging the latest IT technologies, our engineers and customers work together concurrently at every stage of the design process.

Our team of research scientists, product development personnel, manufacturing specialists, and hardware and software engineers are all focused on making advancements in flow control and fluid delivery technology. We have close relationships with OEMs and end users, which provide us with a broad understanding of their needs and technology requirements. Our customers recognize us as experts capable of assisting them in the design of their gas and chemical delivery requirements and the selection of module components for their new processing equipment.

Global Manufacturing

In order to meet the strict requirements of our customers for quality and time to delivery, we have established global manufacturing operations that enable us to provide gas and chemical delivery process modules on a just-in-time basis, in most cases without regard to order size or change in specifications. All of our manufacturing processes are based on a quality business system that starts in the sales cycle and continues through customer service and support.

Our approach to a new product introduction (NPI) is to customize all of the necessary skills and techniques required for the most efficient and productive volume manufacturing. We ensure that the NPI process seamlessly flows from one phase to the next, with the advantage of accelerated time-to-market and time-to-volume.

We operate clean room manufacturing facilities in the United States in Texas, California, and Oregon as well as in Ireland, South Korea, and Japan. Most of our manufacturing and service facilities are ISO 9001 certified.

At all sites worldwide, we leverage a shared knowledge in safety, functional standards, and environmental regulations and provisions. We design for compliance and obtain certification to meet international industry standards, including Semi S2, Semi F-15, CE, UL, UFC, NFPA, and NEC.

We handle assembly projects of any size: high, medium, and low volume.

Supply Chain Management

As one of the largest manufacturers of process modules, we are helping to lead the integration of our industry's supply chain. We believe our close relationships with key suppliers enable us to receive a level of support from them that substantially strengthens our competitive advantage.

Through the course of the manufacturing process, our OEM customers frequently make substantial changes in module configurations as end users change their specifications. In order to rapidly respond to these changes, we have integrated an engineering change control system with our manufacturing resource planning system. This allows us to better manage our manufacturing and procurement process along with the configuration demands of individual modules. As a result, we can better meet our customers' needs by substantially reducing cycle-time from order to delivery. We also significantly reduce the number of suppliers that our OEM customers must manage, which not only reduces costs for them, but management demands as well.

Global Service and Support

Local support around the world helps maintain equipment up-time. We have built a global service and support organization capable of meeting the needs of both OEMs and end users at their facilities worldwide. We have over 35 application and technical engineers located globally, available 24/7. By delivering best-in-class support locally to OEMs and end customers, we are able to quickly assist them in solving problems and returning their equipment to operation in shorter periods of time than ever before.

Life Cycle Support Solutions

Today's advanced process technologies and manufacturing operations require proven performance of gas and chemical delivery systems. We provide technical support from the process design phase through the life cycle of the equipment. This includes assisting in selecting the best solutions up-front, integration and testing at the OEM's facility, installation and start-up, process development, production, and all the way through process upgrades, retrofits and service and support.

For start-up operations, we offer services that minimize time to first silicon. Our project management services for system start-up and process development translate into tighter control and minimized impacts to production.

Our preventative maintenance, spares management, and continuous product improvement programs minimize costs over the life of operation. Through years of troubleshooting in the field, we have developed a systematic approach to diagnostics. The traditional trial-and-error approach is to remove and replace components with minimum diagnostics. Our approach applies diagnostics tools and techniques before component removal. Our support solutions can produce up to a 70% reduction in unnecessary component removals, resulting in increased MTBF (meantime between failures) and decreased operating costs during any phase of the equipment life-cycle.
