Major duties
This position will be responsibly for providing leadership and direction to drive site and Supplier Quality Programs, working with new and existing suppliers to improve both Celerity and supplier quality process and performance. Responsible for the implementation of accurate site and supplier quality metrics and a corrective action system. Will assist in the development and implementation of corporate wide standard processes and programs along with coordinating deployment of Corporate Quality policies and procedures. Will implement consistent site and supplier quality measurements and establish the acceptable levels of quality for Celerity and suppliers by using PPM levels and first pass yield rates. Will identifying key site and supplier quality issues and drive corrective actions to decrease or eliminate cost of quality. May also be required to provide assistance, training and/or training resources to sites and suppliers plus introduce them to new quality tools. Will interfacing with other functional groups within Celerity to identify and resolve site and supplier quality performance issues and coordinate continuous improvement activities with a focus on achieving zero defects and reducing cost of quality.
Essential requirements
Minimum 3 - 5 years related experience. BS degree or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. A proven track record in the ability to implement change and effectively lead a team. Working experience with product standards, regulatory requirements, statistical controls and analysis, QSR, ISO preferred. Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Also strong analytical, statistical and interpretive skills. Must be able to drive actions to closure with minimal supervision. Strong skills in teaching and performing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions using Mistake Proofing, Process control, FMEA and Cause/Effect Diagrams. Ability to plan, organize, motivate and evaluate assigned resources. Advanced people skills with the ability to evaluate, coach and motivate teams. Familiar with Malcolm Baldrige Criteria a PLUS. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office is required. There will be significant travel (approximately 50%) both domestic and international may be required. Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization including the Executive Management Team.
