ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II
Major duties
Candidate will design, document and spec out parts for electrical control panels, electrical schematics, cabling for PLC controlled capital equipment. Interpret design specifications and generate spec-compliant engineering design documentation. Interact with both customers and internal departments. Ensure customer satisfaction at various site locations. Interact within Engineering (equipment design engineering, R&D, electrical engineering, and document control departments. Interact with customer for in-house system demonstrations, design reviews, system source inspections, start-ups, warranty support, etc. Proven ability to interact with customers. Customer focused: works on resolution of customer issues.
Essential requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering desired with 3-7 years direct experience. Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Pro/E or other solid modeling a plus (applicant will use Pro-E to model control panels.) Knowledge of PLC and distributed control wiring systems. Working knowledge of 3-phase power systems, pumps, VFD's, pneumatics, and instrumentation. Knowledge of industry electrical standards; UL508, NFPA 79, NEC, CE Machinery Directives, and SEMI safety standards. No PCB design or layout knowledge required. Ability to exercise judgment within established company policies and procedures, following established safety and quality requirements. Oracle, Agile user experience a plus. Must be able to work after or before hours and during weekends when required. Travel required.
